How many zones can MyPlaceIQ control?
Up to 10, compared with the two or four zones most Australian ducted systems are built with. More zones means air goes only where it is needed, so the bedrooms can run at 21 degrees overnight while the rest of the house stays off. There is no climatic reason older homes were zoned so coarsely; it was simply convention.
What do MyPlaceIQ temperature sensors actually do?
Each sensor sits on the wall in its room, reads the temperature and tells MyPlaceIQ to adjust airflow to hold your chosen setting all day. They matter most in west facing rooms that cop the afternoon sun, rooms with a lot of glass, and upstairs living areas. In Perth conditions the energy saved typically repays the cost of the sensors within a few years.
Does MyPlaceIQ work with my existing air conditioner?
MyPlaceIQ works with Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic and most other major brands, and can control more than one unit in the same home. Whether your current system can be retrofitted depends on its age, ducting and zone motors, so we will inspect it before quoting rather than assuming a replacement is needed.
What is the difference between MyPlace and MyPlaceIQ?
Both are made by Advantage Air. MyPlace gives you zone control of your air conditioning, lights, garage, and blinds from the one app. MyPlaceIQ adds individual room temperature sensors and intelligent energy management on top of that – making it the better choice if energy savings and precise comfort are the priority.
Can I upgrade from MyPlace to MyPlaceIQ?

Do you supply and install MyPlaceIQ in Perth and Bunbury?
Yes. We have been an Advantage Air Premium Dealer since 2012, with branches in Osborne Park and Bunbury covering the Perth metro area and the South West. Installation, handover and ongoing support are all handled locally by our own technicians, and quotes are free. House plans help us scope the job accurately.
