What is MyPlace and how does it work?
MyPlace is an Australian designed smart home system from Advantage Air that brings your lights, air conditioning, garage door, blinds and security under one app. It connects to your existing wiring and devices rather than replacing them, so a standard Perth home can be made smart without a rewire. You choose which modules you start with and add more later.
Can MyPlace be installed in an existing home, or only a new build?
Both. MyPlace is designed to retrofit, connecting to the wiring and fittings already in your home, which is why it suits established homes as well as new builds. In a new build the cabling can be planned upfront, and in an existing home our team will assess your switchboard, existing air conditioning and layout during the free quote.
What is the difference between MyPlace and MyPlaceIQ?
MyPlace is the whole of home smart system covering lights, garage, blinds and security. MyPlaceIQ is the newer super smart air conditioning system, built around room by room temperature control and energy savings, which then expands into those same home smarts. If comfort and running costs are your priority, start with MyPlaceIQ. If you already have air conditioning you are happy with, MyPlace adds the smarts around it.
Do I need to buy the whole MyPlace system at once?
No. MyPlace is modular, so most homeowners start with one or two modules such as MyLights or MyGarage and add blinds, security or air conditioning control later. Each addition works through the same app, so the system grows with your home rather than locking you into a single upfront spend.
Do you supply and install MyPlace in Perth and Bunbury?
Yes. We have been an Advantage Air Premium Dealer since 2012, with branches in Osborne Park and Bunbury covering the Perth metro area and the South West. Installation, handover and ongoing support are all handled locally by our own technicians, and quotes are free. House plans help us scope the job accurately.
